While nothing official has been announced, sources including IGN are reporting that ABC's Agents of SHIELD has indeed been picked up for a Fall season debut. In addition, a brief (very brief) viral teaser was accidentally released on YouTube before being taken down. Luckily, we happen to have a copy embedded below.
The video shows some found footage style video of the Hulk being mean and green in a city somewhere. A logo that reads "Rising Tide" is also visible in the lower corner of the screen, although we're not sure if this is part of the viral campaign, or simply the watermark of whoever leaked the video. Give it a watch below.
The most notable thing about this seems to be just how short it is (and missing audio). It's quite possible that this clip is unfinished, and was uploaded accidentally ahead of its completion.
However, considering it features the Hulk, one has to wonder what cinematic superheroes might be making appearances. Kevin Feige has stated multiple times that a Hulk TV series might be feasible in the future, could a Bruce Banner appearance on SHIELD lead into that?
We'll find out this Fall when the series airs. The pilot episode was directed by Joss Whedon, and co-written by him, Jed Whedon, and Maurissa Trancharoen. Clark Gregg will return from the grave to play Agent Coulson, and will appear alongside Ming-Na Wen, Elizabeth Henstridge, Iain de Caestecker, Brett Dalton, Chloe Bennet, and J. August Richards.
