Bill Murray Returns to Supernatural Comedy in 'B.O.O.: Bureau of Otherworldly Operations'

Remember when Bill Murray (Zombieland, Lost in Translation) said he’d only star in Ghostbusters 3 if his character was a ghost? Well, it’s highly doubtful we’ll ever see that happen, but fans will soon be able to see how he portrays a villainous specter now that he's been cast in Dreamworks Animation’s B.O.O.: Bureau of Otherworldly Operations.

The film, based on an original idea by director Tony Leondis (Igor), follows a pair of bumbling ghosts (voiced by Seth Rogan and Melissa McCarthy) who work for the titular secret government agency as "spooks" (get it?) as they attempt to protect humanity from evil spirits. One such evil entity is Murray’s character, Addison Drake, the “Most Wanted Haunter." Well, looks like the buster has finally become the bustee.

Jennifer Coolidge, Octavia Spencer, Rashida Jones, and Matt Bomer round out the cast. B.O.O.: Bureau of Otherworldly Operations is slated to open June 5, 2015.

If this article made you a little weepy knowing you’ll probably never see good ol’ Peter Venkman again, here’s a little video from a few years back to put a smile on your face:
