Anna Paquin, Ellen Page and Shawn Ashmore have all signed on to reprise their X-roles as Rogue, Shadowcat and Iceman in X-Men: Days of Future Past, the upcoming sequel to X-Men: First Class. The trio last appeared in X-Men: The Last Stand, the final installment in the "original" trilogy.
Future Past director Bryan Singer tweeted the news over the weekend, where he also thanked Last Stand director Brett Ratner for not killing off the trio in their last appearance like he did many of the other pivotal characters.
X-vets Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen are also attached as Wolverine, Professor Xavier, and Magneto. They'll be joining James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence as young Xavier, young Magneto, and young Mystique respectively. Aren't you X-cited?! You would think I'd be ashamed of that horrible pun but I'm not, that's my mutant power.
