With Paramount and Jerry Bruckheimer set to begin their partnership next year, the long-developing fourth Beverly Hills Cop movie is finally gaining some traction. Eddie Murphy has reportedly signed on to the project to reprise his role as Axel Foley, with Brett Ratner attached to direct.
The script is still being worked on, but with both Ratner and Murphy on board, and Bruckheimer producing, it seems likely that this project will be fast-tracked into production soon.
Ratner is currently working on Hercules, and has also directed films such as the Rush Hour series and X-Men: The Last Stand. He previously worked with Eddie Murphy on 2011's Tower Heist.
