While Iron Man 3 is still breaking records in the box office, some of us are already clamoring for more information on what's next in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Well, a recent article over at Entertainment Weekly has got the scoop on a couple of upcoming projects, including some cool new concept art from Guardians of the Galaxy.
Okay, I won't tease you, here's that sweet, sweet concept art:
This piece of art depics the character Quill being visited by some kind of spaceship from space. As far as the current status of the movie, the studio is currently in the casting stage, and they have so far confirmed Zoe Saldana, Chris Pratt and Dave Bautista as space Assassin Gamora, Peter Quill, and Drax the Destroyer, respectively. So far Rocket Racoon has not be cast. Guardians of the Galaxy is expected to hit theaters on August 1st, 2014
In other news, Ant-Man is currently undergoing re-writes and will be casting soon, and is expected to be released November 6, 2015. Joss Whedon has finished a first draft of Avengers 2 and it's been more or less confirmed that Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch will be in it, expect that film May 1st, 2015. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is still in the works, with Joss Whedon co-producing and having already written and directed a pilot. Thor: The Dark World and Captain America: The Winter Soldier are both full-steam ahead and will be out November 27th, 2013 and April 4th, 2014, respectively.
