The First 'Dreamfall Chapters' Gameplay Footage Is Coming along Nicely

Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey, the much, much anticipated sequel to 2006's Dreamfall, is currently being independently funded through Kickstarter. That could definitely go either way, but considering they've raised almost all of the money with 22 days to go in the campaign, I think we're almost definitely going to be seeing this game in the near future (knock on wood). To celebrate, the developers have released a video containing some early prototype gameplay. While it's definitely not polished yet, it's a pretty interesting look into the new mechanics they're bringing to the game.

The video features Zoe exploring a forest environment called "Riverwood," which is almost certainly in the Arcadia half of the equation, as well as the game's new free roaming movement/point and click hybrid gameplay. Give it a watch below.
