Government Recognizes 'League of Legends' as a Sport, Pros Can Get Visas Now

So apparently League of Legends players can get visas now.  Similar to professional sports athletes, LCS participants can get a non-immigrant visa, specifically under the P-1A classification.

LoL caster, Leigh Smith, made a twitter post earlier today:

Another announcement you all maybe missed. The US Governement recognises the as a Sport on par with NBA,NFL,NHL so pro's get visas now

Apparently this doesn't apply to game casters though.  Still, it'll be interesting to see if more players are brought over in the future and whether or not it will effect esports as a whole.
