'Man of Tai Chi' Trailer Reveals Keanu Reeves' Directorial Debut

"I know Kung Fu." This line has been immortalized in cinema by Keanu Reeves in his 1999 hit, The Matrix; and not since The Matrix series have we seen Keanu dazzle us with martial arts, until now.

Man of Tai Chi, set in Beijing, follows a young martial artist through a journey of opportunities and sacrifices. Though Keanu Reeves has established himself in Hollywood, this is the first time he has taken a seat in the directing chair.

Actor, Tiger Hu Chen, is also taking the lead role for the first time, transitioning from stuntman and supporting roles in martial arts films such as Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. A familiar and beautiful face within the cast belongs to Karen Mok, previously seen in  Around the World in 80 Days and Shaolin Soccer. This film looks to be an entertaining blend of The Matrix, mixed with Fight Club, with a hint of Hunger Games, and a dash of Tekken on top.

Man of Tai Chi has created quite the buzz at the Beijing Film Festival and the Cannes Film Festival this year; however, there is no scheduled release date yet for this movie.
