'The Monuments Men' Trailer is Like 'Inglourious Basterds' Meets 'Ocean's Eleven'

George Clooney, Matt Damon, John Goodman, and Bill Murray in a World War 2 period piece? Yes, please! A new trailer has been released for The Monuments Men, and it's pretty fantastic.

Based on the book The Monuments Men: Allied Heroes, Nazi Thieves and the Greatest Treasure Hunt in History, our heroes are tasked with saving important pieces of art and culture, as Hitler is destroying everything deemed inferior.

Casually being referred to as the film child of Inglourious Basterds and Ocean's Eleven, the trailer is one of beauty. Including witty repartee and an all-too-familiar bar scene regarding the number of men needed for their team. The only thing this movie appears to be missing is Brad Pitt. Here's hoping he has at least a small cameo!

The Monuments Men comes out in theatres on December 18, 2013.
