Good news! Sony confirmed to ShackNews earlier today that launch titles on the PlayStation 4 will not be getting more expensive.
It's not that surprising, especially given that Microsoft has confirmed a $59.99 price point for their own first-party games. However, Sony's statement is actually a little less straightforward than Microsoft's.
The company stated that, “All four [launch] titles, Killzone: Shadow Fall, DriveClub, Knack, and Infamous: Second Son are all $59.99.”
While pure speculation, the vagueness of this quote might be meant to give the company some leeway in the future to raise prices on PS4 games. After all, right now they're looking to put the nails in the Xbox One coffin, but if they do come out on top, there'd be a lot less incentive for them to be as consumer friendly.
