'Prometheus 2' Inches Forward with a New Writer

A sequel to Ridley Scott's 2012 film Prometheus is moving ahead, hiring Jack Paglen (the upcoming Wally Pfister directed film Transcendence) to pen the script.

TheWrap reports that a deal between Paglen and 20th Century Fox is incoming, with Prometheus stars Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender in the loop. They report that the two" would likely return to reprise their roles, though it remains unclear what creative direction a sequel would take."

Considering the both of them are pretty important to the story Scott set up in the Alien prequel, I certainly hope they'll be back.
