A Sequel to Roger Rabbit? My Body is Ready

Who Framed Roger Rabbit? is one of my all time favorite movies. The combination of live action and animation amazed me then and still amazes me to this day. Now, I'm excited to hear that a sequel is possible, but how close are we to seeing this movie?

Robert Zemeckis, who directed the first, has revealed the script is completed. He's just waiting for the 'go ahead' from Disney. Zemeckis would like the sequel to be as close to the original as possible - he'd rather not modernize it. He mentioned that he'd like to do it in 2-D using 3-D tools.

If I were to do the sequel, it would be done just like the first one. It would look the same way, but we would present it in 3-D in its release. I would do all of the animation hand-drawn; 2-D, but using 3-D tools. It wouldn’t be like Pixar 3-D. It wouldn’t look like that… this would again be another period movie.

So my fellow Roger Rabbit fans, what do you think? Are you excited about this news? What would you like to see in the sequel?
