Sigur Ros to Appear in Season Four of 'Game of Thrones'

If you were hoping for a little more Icelandic indie in your gritty fantasy, then today's a good day for you. Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Sigur Rós will appear, in some capacity, in the upcoming fourth season of Game of Thrones.

Considering the fact that the book on which the hit HBO series is based are chock-full of songs, it's not too surprising that showrunners for Game of Thrones have previously reached out to bands The National and The Hold Steady for renditions of songs. As of now, though, all we know is that Sigur Rós will be making an appearance in the show, but whether or not they'll put their own twist on any songs is unkown.
