Director Marc Webb has been Tweeting photos from the set of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 over the past few days. Most of them are fairly innocuous, but one in particular has fans speculating on a fan favorite character. Give it a look below, possible spoilers.
Here's the Tweet in question.

So what's the big deal? Well, Ultimate Spider-Man fans were quick to point out this panel:
That's the locker where Peter Parker discovers the experiment that eventually leads to the Ultimate's version of Venom. It even has the same number, highly suspicious. But what about the Happy Birthday hashtag?
Some people believe that this month is the 25th anniversary of Venom's original appearance.
Crave however, has this theory:
That is not, however, the significance of the hashtag “#happybirthday.” February 6 is the birthday of Amazing Spider-Man 2 co-star Dane DeHaan, who plays Harry Osborn in the sequel. Translation: “Happy Birthday, Dane DeHaan… Here’s your Venom suit.”
If we’re right (again, if Marc Webb isn’t just screwing with us), then Dane DeHaan would be the new Venom. And that makes a lot of sense, doesn’t it? The son of the Green Goblin, friends with Peter Parker, who will eventually turn on the hero. With his roots in OsCorp and his best friend Spider-Man destined to turn against Harry’s father, Dane DeHaan seems like the perfect candidate for the Venom suit in the new franchise, and then get his own solo movie, courtesy of DeHaan’s old Chronicle director, Josh Trank.
It feels like a stretch, but that photo has to mean something right? But if Venom really is making an appearance, how is Webb going to manage another villain added to an already crowded cast? We currently have both Rhino and Electro on board, do we really need a third?
Unless... unless Marc Webb is going for something a little more elaborate. Perhaps Venom will appear in a post-credits stinger? Is Sony trying to build their own Avengers-like crossover universe? The studio has been discussing the possibility of a standalone Venom film for some time now, is this how they're going to introduce it?
