A Third Season of 'Twin Peaks?' Sadly, No...

Soap operas are often looked at with ridicule, but Twin Peaks wasn't your average soap opera. The show started out with the murder of a local and popular young woman, Laura Palmer (Sheyl Lee). FBI agent Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) enters the quirky yet mysterious town of Twin Peaks, Washington to solve the murder. The investigation took many bizarre turns that kept the show interesting and unique.

Sadly, the show was cancelled after the second season. A feature film, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me was created to tie up some of the loose ends. A rumor that appeared on the Net hinted there might be a third season of the show, but producer, Mark Frost, crushed the rumor via his Twitter account. I started watching the show on Netflix and instantly became addicted, but I guess a third season of Twin Peaks isn't meant to be.
