Oh, joyous day! Tina Fey is returning to her old stamping grounds as host of the 39th season premiere of Saturday Night Live. And you know what that means: cameos from her bffs Jimmy Fallon, Amy Poehler, and more!
Besides being a smart move ratings-wise, (and because who doesn't love Tina Fey?) this is a perfect way to introduce the new cast. With the departure of Bill Hader, Fred Armisen, Jason Sudekis, and Seth Meyers (although Meyers is slated to stay partway through this season), there will be several new faces and cast members.
And with the announcement that the Progressive "It's Not Complicated" guy as one of the newest cast members, I'm predicting at least three great skits with Tina Fey, and one horrible Progressive-style skit featuring "that guy in the commercials with the annoying kids." Which will somehow be even more popular (and worse) than The Californians.
SNL's 39th Season Premiere will air on September 28 with musical guests Arcade Fire.
