Despite the fact that the series is more or less over, Harry Potter still has one of the most dedicated fandoms out there. In fact, Universal Studios' Harry Potter-themed attractions have been a huge hit, and plans are in motion to considerably expand the area. In the meantime, the Orlando park will host a new event called "A Celebration of Harry Potter," a three day event which will feature special appearances from the cast and crew of the film, and a rumored soft launch of the new Diagon Alley attraction.
The Celebration will take place on January 24-26, 2014 at Universal Studios Orlando and Universal's Islands of Adventure. Special events will include Q&As with the filmmakers and cast, a class on wand dueling with the choreographer who trained the actors for the films, and the aforementioned rumor of an early Diagon Alley opening. More events will be announced as the date draws nearer.
Most of these festivities will be open to all park goers, however optional tickets are available for as low as $395 that will give you access to a private evening reception, reserved seating at the events, a priority line for the rides, early admittance into the park, and extra dining options. Some of the packages even include a hotel room for extra convenience.
These tickets will go on sale on August 22.
