Valve just can't stop being the nicest publisher in the business. This time, they're teaming up with the Independent Games Festival, an annual awards show/summit for indie game devs. According to an official statement from the IGF organizers, "All IGF Main Competition finalists for this year’s event will receive the opportunity to accept a distribution agreement for Steam." With Steam's Greenlight program becoming more and more competitive (on top of a fee), this is pretty great news for a lot of those developers.
Finalists in each category will be announced later this month, with the actual event taking place on March 25 through the 29 in San Fransisco.
