Friday night marked the world premiere of Warner Bros Animation's Batman: Under the Red Hood, based on the story arcs "Under the Hood" and "A Death in the Family" (our review is incoming, courtesy of ykb). In addition, the cast and crew were on hand to announce some new (and exciting) future adaptations of DC stories.
First among them will Superman/Batman: Apocalypse, an adaptation of "The Supergirl from Krypton" comic, and a sequel to Superman/Batman: Public Enemies. The 2-Disc DVD and Blu-ray will also include an exclusive animated short starring Green Arrow and will be available on September 28, 2010.
Next up, to coincide with Warner Bros's Green Lantern theatrical film (ala Gotham Knights/TDK), is Emerald Knights. A collection of shorts by different animation studios, each of Emerald Knights's pieces will center around a different Green Lantern.
We don't currently have a lot of specifics on the last two, but they're pretty mind blowing to say the least. It shouldn't take more than their titles to raise the pulses of comic book fans, so I'll just leave it at this: All Star Superman. Batman: Year One. Boom.
