You Got Your 'Left 4 Dead 2' in My 'Resident Evil 6'

The cast of Left 4 Dead 2 and Resident Evil 6 are about to get a whole lot cozier. Capcom has announced today that a free crossover promotion will be bringing characters from Valve's zombie shooter into the latest Resident Evil, as well as the other way around.

The L4D2 survivors, Coach, Ellis, Rochelle, and Nick, will soon be playable characters in Resident Evil's PC-exclusive "No Mercy" mode. Additionally, the Witch and Tank will also be making appearances.

Likewise, the Lepotitsa, Napad, and Ogroman from Resident Evil 6 will be featured as new special infected in an upcoming L4D2 update. Capcom noted that the new enemies were created by Valve developers using Steam Workshop tools. The DLC on the Valve end will be arriving sometime in Spring.

Resident Evil's PC version will launch on March 22, with the L4D content arriving on April 5.

In the meantime, check out a couple of screenshots below.
